Getting Started
Download the App
Search Golf League Manager Pro on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. A one-time purchase of $9.99 unlocks unlimited leagues on your device.
First Launch
When you open the app for the first time you will be prompted to join an existing league or create a new one. The app requires an internet connection to sync data across all devices in your league.
Navigation
The app has five main tabs at the bottom of the screen:
- Tee Sheet — view groups, tee times, and enter scores
- Roster — sign up for game days and view game rules
- Results — view blind draw teams and final standings
- Admin — configure your league settings
- Profile — manage your account
Joining or Creating a League
Switching Between Leagues
Tap the league name banner at the top of the Tee Sheet to open the League Switcher. All leagues you have previously joined appear in the list. Tap Switch to jump between them instantly — no password required.
Joining an Existing League
- Tap the league name banner at the top of the Tee Sheet
- Tap Join / Create New League
- Enter the League ID provided by your commissioner
- Enter the League Password provided by your commissioner
- Tap Join — you are now connected to that league
Creating a New League
- Tap the league name banner at the top of the Tee Sheet
- Tap Join / Create New League
- Enter a unique League ID — this is the identifier other players will use to find your league (e.g. "friday_four" or "villa_app")
- You will be prompted to create a League Password — this is what other players enter when joining for the first time
- Tap Create — your league is created with a blank template ready for setup
Sharing Your League
Give your players the League ID and League Password. They enter these once when joining. After that they can switch to your league from their League Switcher without entering a password again.
Admin Setup
Registering as Admin
Before you can edit any league settings you must claim admin access:
- Go to the Admin tab
- Tap Register Admin
- Enter your admin password
- Tap Confirm — admin is now locked to your device
League Banner
- League Name — appears on all automated emails to the pro shop
- Timezone — set to your local timezone so all automated triggers fire at the correct local time
- Tap the green Save button to save changes
Pro Shop Email
Enter the pro shop's email address in the designated field. All automated communications — tee time requests, final player lists, and no-show notifications — are sent to this address automatically.
Season Dates
Set your Season Start and Season End dates. All automated emails and blind draws are suspended outside these dates so you never accidentally contact the pro shop during the off-season.
Tee Groups
Define the tee colors available at your course (e.g. Blue, White, Red, Gold). Once tee groups are configured, each player in the roster can be assigned a tee color. Tap ADD to add a color; tap the × on any chip to remove it. Removing a tee group clears that assignment from all players.
Game Settings
- Game Mode
- 1 Best Ball — 2-man teams. The tee draw always balances handicaps using snake distribution. At results time, if draw times match, partners are paired within tee sheet groups so you compete against the players you walk the course with. If draw times differ, partners are randomly paired across the field. Best net score per hole counts.
- 2 Best Ball — tee sheet groups are the teams, always balanced by snake distribution. Works with twosomes, threesomes, and foursomes. Two best net scores per group per hole count.
- Quota — individual stableford-style points vs a personal target based on handicap.
- All Net Birdies or Better Count — optional toggle for Best Ball modes. When enabled, if more players than the normal threshold make net birdie or better on a hole, all of their scores count.
- Course Length — 9 or 18 holes
- Bet Amount — entry fee per player displayed on results
- Skins Fee — skins entry fee per player
- Handicap Allowance % — 0% to 100% to adjust how much handicap is applied to net scores
- Gross Birdie Override (skins) — when enabled, a gross birdie or better wins the skin outright. A net birdie cannot beat a gross birdie.
Passwords
- League Password — what players enter when joining for the first time
- Admin Password — only for the commissioner to claim admin access. Keep this private.
Group Message
Set a recurring automated message sent to all league members with an email on file. Enter the message text, select the day and time to send it. Useful for weekly sign-up reminders.
Day Manager
The Day Manager is the heart of the app. Tap any day button (Sun through Sat) to configure that game day. Days highlighted in green are active game days.
Activating a Day
Inside the day settings modal tap Activate This Day to make it a play day. Deactivate it at any time to suppress all emails and draws for that day.
Tee Times
Enter the tee times for that day. The number of tee times × 4 sets the player cap automatically. For example, 3 tee times = maximum 12 players. These times are also included in the final player list email sent to the pro shop.
Lockout Time
The time when sign-ups close on game day. At this time:
- The roster is frozen — no new sign-ups or cancellations
- The blind tee draw runs automatically
- The final player list is emailed to the pro shop grouped by tee time
Results Draw Time
The time when the Results tab unlocks and teams are paired. The draw runs automatically — no one needs to have the app open. If set to the same time as Lockout, results teams are drawn from within tee sheet groups so partners play together. If set to a different time, partners are randomly paired across the field.
Pro Shop Advance Request
Configure an automated tee time request sent to the pro shop before game day. Set the trigger day and time (typically 2–3 days before game day). The email counts current sign-ups, rounds up to the nearest foursome, and requests that many tee times. The player cap is updated automatically once sent.
Course Setup
Entering Hole Data
The course grid shows all 18 holes (or 9 if configured). For each hole enter:
- Par — the par for that hole
- Index — the handicap stroke index (1 = hardest, 18 = easiest)
Fields highlighted in blue need to be filled in. Once entered they turn white.
Course Library
- Enter par and index for each hole
- Tap Save As... and give the course a name
- The course is saved to your library and can be loaded at any time from the dropdown
- Tap Add New to start a fresh blank course
Roster & Sign-Up
Claiming Your Player Profile
Before you can sign up for any game day you must claim your player profile. This is a one-time setup.
- Go to the Roster tab
- Find your name and tap it
- Tap Claim — your profile is now locked to this device
Signup Status
Each signup cycles through three states:
- ⭕ OUT — not playing
- ✅ GAME — playing, entering the bet
- 💎 SKINS — playing and entering skins
Player Cap
Once a game day reaches its cap it shows FULL and no additional players can sign up. The commissioner can increase the cap in Day Manager settings.
Handicap Management
Player handicaps are managed in the Admin tab. Handicap fields auto-save 1.5 seconds after you stop typing.
Tee Sheet & Blind Draw
Before Lockout Time
The tee sheet shows a countdown to the draw time. Players can see who is signed up but groups have not been assigned yet.
At Lockout Time
The blind draw runs automatically. Players are distributed across tee groups using a snake distribution by handicap — lowest handicap paired with highest, ensuring every group has a balanced mix of skill levels. Groups are assigned to tee times and the tee sheet updates immediately. The pro shop receives the final player list by email.
Viewing and Claiming a Scorecard
- View Scorecard — opens the scorecard in read-only mode. Available to all players at any time after the draw.
- Claim & Score — claims the scorecard for your device and opens it for score entry. Once claimed, the button changes to Edit Scorecard.
Moving a Player to a Different Tee Time
- Tap the tee time shown next to the player's name
- A list of all available tee times appears
- Select the new tee time
- The player is immediately reassigned and the tee sheet updates
Forcing a Tee Draw
Commissioners can force the tee draw at any time by tapping 🎲 Force Tee Draw in the admin controls. This overwrites any existing tee sheet for the selected day. Requires at least 2 signed-up players.
Scorecard & Live Scoring
Claiming a Scorecard
Each group has one scorecard. One player per group claims it:
- Tap Claim & Score on your group's tee time banner
- The scorecard opens — only your device can now enter scores for this group
Other players and anyone watching will see scores update live as they are entered.
Entering Scores
- Enter the gross score for each player on each hole
- The app automatically calculates net scores based on handicap and course index
- Running totals update in real time
- Maximum score per hole is enforced based on handicap plus two strokes
DNF (Did Not Finish)
If a player cannot complete the round tap the DNF toggle next to their name. They are excluded from the results draw.
Saving Scores
- Save Scores — saves current scores and closes the scorecard. The app refreshes after 2 seconds.
- Close & Exit — saves all scores and closes the scorecard.
Releasing a Locked Scorecard
If a player's phone dies mid-round: go to the Admin tab → tap 🔓 Reset Locks. Another player in the group can then claim the scorecard and continue entering scores.
Results & Leaderboard
Results Tab Lock
The Results tab is locked until the results draw time set in Day Manager. Before that time it shows a countdown — this prevents players from seeing team pairings before the round.
The Results Draw
At the results draw time, teams are paired automatically — no one needs to have the app open. In 1 Best Ball, if draw time matches lockout time, partners are paired within tee sheet groups; otherwise randomly across the field. In 2 Best Ball, tee sheet groups become teams automatically. In Quota mode each player competes individually.
Scoring Display
All Best Ball team scores display as +/− relative to par. E = even par, −2 = two under, +1 = one over.
Color Coding
- Blue — the team's round is still in progress
- Green — all players in the team have completed their round
Calculating Results
- Go to the Results tab
- Tap Calculate
- Final standings appear showing team net scores, skins winners, and payouts
Skins
Skins are calculated hole by hole from all players who paid the skins fee. The lowest net score on a hole wins outright. If two or more players tie, the skin carries over to the next hole. When Gross Birdie Override is enabled, a gross birdie or better wins the skin automatically.
Clearing Results After a Score Correction
- Fix the score on the scorecard
- Go to Admin → tap 🧹 Clear Result Teams and Redraw (Keep Scores)
- The draw clears and rebuilds automatically — scores are preserved
Pro Shop Communications
All pro shop emails are sent automatically. No action is required from the commissioner on game day.

Every Sunday at 3am the app automatically resets all leagues for the new week.
